Hello,
I hope you are enjoying your winter break! As we prepare for the upcoming semester, I have a couple of news items for you.
LSAT Workshop
I sent out the save-the-date last semester for this year’s workshop; now it is almost upon us! If you are planning to attend the LSAT Workshop on January 18, 2025, please fill out the form at the link below ASAP.
As a reminder, it is planned for Saturday, January 18, 2025, in 254 Anspach Hall. It will be an intensive, full-day workshop that will cover basic information about the LSAT, strategy and tips for each section on the LSAT, and timed practice tests, If you are taking the LSAT this upcoming summer or fall, this workshop is especially for you! If you are taking the LSAT in 2026 (or beyond), and want to get a head start on studying, you are more than welcome to attend as well. I typically hold a workshop every year if you cannot attend this one.
We will begin at 9 a.m. and have lunch together, so that we don’t have to leave for lunch. I will provide pizza lunch for everyone (courtesy of the Pre-Law Center), but please bring your own drinks, as well as any snacks you may want to munch on throughout the day. We will continue throughout the afternoon, as long as people want to stay. We will officially end by 3 or 3:15 p.m., but I will stay to work with people one-on-one, or in small groups, as long as students want me to. I will provide all of the materials needed, so you don't need to bring anything except a pencil/pen and paper. If you also want to bring a computer for note-taking, that's fine.
Please sign up at the link above, and let me know if you have any questions!
Pre-Law Advising
My appointment site is up and running with my schedule for this semester, so please feel free to make an appointment (either in-person or virtual) if you’d like to discuss your pre-law plan, law-related majors and minors, upcoming law classes, LSAT, law school applications, which law school to choose, updates on your law school plans/life, or anything else. I’ve included the link to make an appointment below. I now have 15-minute time slots, since the vast majority of advising meetings take no longer than that. However, if you need a longer meeting, please feel free to sign up for two slots in a row. I look forward to meeting with many of you this semester!
Good luck with your first week of classes!
Kyla
